What we collect

We use website analytics. Ahrefs Web Analytics is cookieless and runs on every visit. It measures page views, referrers, browser and device information, language, approximate location and common interactions. Google Analytics 4 runs only if you click Accept on the cookie banner, and helps us see which pages are read and how the site is found.

This site has no account or registration form. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We do not run ads or sell data, and our website analytics do not track visitors across other websites.

Google Analytics 4 configuration

We run GA4 in a privacy-conservative configuration:

• IP addresses are anonymised before storage (anonymize_ip: true).
• Google Signals is disabled (allow_google_signals: false), with no cross-device or demographic enrichment.
• Ads personalisation signals are disabled (allow_ad_personalization_signals: false).
• Google Consent Mode v2 is set to denied by default. The GA script is only loaded after you grant consent.

Ahrefs Web Analytics

Ahrefs reports aggregate website use without analytics cookies. Its documented processing includes page URLs, referrers, user-agent and language information, and common interactions such as link clicks. It uses the request IP address to derive a country and city and to calculate a daily visitor hash with the user agent and a salt that changes every 24 hours. Ahrefs states that it discards raw IP addresses and does not track visitors across days, websites or devices. See Ahrefs' privacy policy.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

Cloudflare hosts this website and receives requests needed to serve and protect it. Cloudflare Web Analytics also runs before an optional Google Analytics choice and after you decline. Its browser beacon sends page-visit and performance measurements to Cloudflare. See Cloudflare's Web Analytics documentation and Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Bespoke software enquiries

When you submit a project enquiry, we receive your name, email address and project description, plus any company, tools, budget or deadline details you provide. We use these details to assess your request and reply. Please leave out passwords, API keys and customer records.

Cloudflare processes the submission and security-check signals through Turnstile. Resend delivers the enquiry to our business inbox. We do not send your form answers to website analytics or add you to a mailing list. Enquiry correspondence is kept in our business email for as long as needed to handle the request and any resulting work; you can ask us to delete it using the contact details above.

Our legitimate interest is responding to business enquiries. Where you personally request a quote or work, we also process the details needed to take those steps at your request. No payment or contract is created by submitting the form.

Business outreach

We may contact a business about relevant software projects or referrals using its published business contact details. We record the source, reason for contact and correspondence. Where this involves personal data, we rely on our legitimate interest in developing relevant business relationships and consider the contact’s reasonable expectations.

We do not use email tracking pixels. Use our unsubscribe page, reply to ask us to stop, or email hello@studea.co.uk. You can stop outreach from one brand or all Studea products. This does not stop account, billing or service messages. We retain a keyed hash of the normalised email address, the selected scope and the request date so we can respect that choice. Our unsubscribe page has no analytics. For requests made by entering an email address, Cloudflare Turnstile checks for abuse. Personalised links use an opaque identifier and do not require that check. We review outreach records after six months and remove details no longer needed, while keeping any minimal suppression record required to avoid further contact.

Legal basis

For Google Analytics 4 we rely on your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and PECR regulation 6) to set the analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time using the button below. We use Ahrefs Web Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate site use on the basis of our legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). You can object by emailing hello@studea.co.uk. Cookieless measurement does not by itself remove our privacy obligations.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@studea.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

How to opt out

• Click Decline on the cookie banner.
• If you already accepted: use the withdrawal button above to stop Google Analytics and remove its accessible cookies.
• Install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on for a permanent block across all sites.

Data retention

GA4 event data is retained for the default period of 2 months and then deleted. We do not export raw GA4 data into any other system.

If we change anything material about how this site handles data, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
